Using Make-up Brushes

A lot of girls underestimate the power of a make-up brush and choose to use fingertips instead. While fingertips will get the job done, in some cases a make-up brush is simply the better choice. There is no need to go out and spend hundreds of dollars on a variety of different brushes, instead purchase the essentials.

Many companies produce a multi-purpose make-up brush that can be cleaned and reused for different applications; this is a good choice for the money conscious. There are three main brushes I would recommend for purchase in addition to a multi-use brush. The first one is a loose powder brush. This is good for applying foundation as well as blush and face shimmer.

The last two brushes are both for eye shadow application. The first one is the eye shadow blending brush; this is good for lighter shades of eye shadow and blending without totally mixing the colors. The last brush is the more precise eye contour brush. This can be used for easy application to the eye crease. This is a hard to reach area when simply using a fingertip.
